No, you were told that we know about performance problems with Flash, and animation in general, but no-one ever said that we have no intention of fixing it. Performance of animated pages is already substantially better in the builds that will become Camino 2.0. As for being told to fix it yourself if you couldn't wait for us to do it, that's a fairly common response in the open source world to people who phrase their bug reports as demands that bugs be fixed on a specific timetable (your exact words, when we told you that there's no need to re-file duplicates of known bugs, wer "Fine, then fix it already [...] What's taking so long?"). Trying to give orders to people working in their spare time to create a product that's given away for free is impolite. > Also, is there a way to disable videos on some sites from automatically > starting. If they are Flash-based, then you can accomplish this by enabling "Block Flash animations" in the preferences. -Stuart _______________________________________________ Camino mailing list [email protected] http://mozdev.org/mailman/listinfo/camino
