No, you were told that we know about performance problems with Flash,
and animation in general, but no-one ever said that we have no
intention of fixing it. Performance of animated pages is already
substantially better in the builds that will become Camino 2.0.

As for being told to fix it yourself if you couldn't wait for us to do
it, that's a fairly common response in the open source world to people
who phrase their bug reports as demands that bugs be fixed on a
specific timetable (your exact words, when we told you that there's no
need to re-file duplicates of known bugs, wer "Fine, then fix it
already [...] What's taking so long?"). Trying to give orders to
people working in their spare time to create a product that's given
away for free is impolite.

If they are Flash-based, then you can accomplish this by enabling
"Block Flash animations" in the preferences.
