Your monitor contributes a lot to your computing experience. One of
the often-overlooked aspects of computing is how the text is displayed
on the monitor. You probably have just accepted how it looks already,
but things can be improved. A setting in Windows XP called ClearType
allows you to tweak how your fonts are displayed. ClearTweak is a
program that helps you to modify this setting to your liking. Its
important to note that this program should primarily be used if you
have an LCD display, because it could make things blurry on a CRT. All
you have to do is select the font smoothing options that look good to
you, and the settings will be applied to your system. I noticed a
dramatic difference while I was playing around with this program. Its
amazing how different things can look with a few simple tweaks. Give
it a try, and see what pleases your eyes.

PDF SpeedUp allows you to significantly speed up the time it takes to
load Adobe Reader. If you notice that when the Reader starts it loads
many plug-ins that you may or may not need, this program simply
disables the plug-ins and loads only the absolutely necessary ones so
the program starts quickly. It offers several options and you can also
manually enable or disable the plug-ins as needed. PDF SpeedUp works

Mydoom, Zindos, And Doomjuice Worm Removal Tool v4.0 [120K]

This tool helps to remove the Mydoom.A, Mydoom.B, Mydoom.E, Mydoom.F,
Mydoom.G, Mydoom.J, Mydoom.L, Mydoom.O, Zindos.A, Doomjuice.A, and
Doomjuice.B worms from infected systems. Once the tool has run - after
the End-User License Agreement (EULA) is accepted - it automatically
checks for infection and removes any of the targeted worms that are
found. If a machine is infected with the Mydoom.B worm, the tool also
provides the user with the default version of the hosts file and sets
the "read-only" attribute for that file. This action enables the user
to visit previously-blocked Microsoft and anti-virus Web sites.

Adobe Photoshop SpeedUp significantly decreases the time it takes to
load Adobe Photoshop by disabling the plug-ins that you may not need.
There are several options such as whether to load the Adobe fonts,
load the presets, and set the memory usage. You may restore to the
original settings at any time. Adobe Photoshop SpeedUp is freeware and
works with Adobe Photoshop versions 3 through 8.

Symantec Security Response has developed a removal tool to clean the
following infections: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Important: If you are on a
network or have a full-time connection to the Internet, such as a DSL
or cable modem, disconnect the computer from the network and Internet.
Disable or password-protect file sharing, or set the shared files to
Read Only before reconnecting the computers to the network or to the
Internet. Because this worm spreads by using shared folders on
networked computers, to ensure that the worm does not re-infect the
computer after it has been removed, Symantec suggests sharing with
Read Only access or by using password protection.
