Actually I did think about that. She wants to go and get some small hangers for her Barbie clothes and she also wants a Spiderman camera. I told her I needed to see some improvement in her behavior (ie- no throwing up at Lori's) and then she could get one of them. She seems to forget it though when its the morning and we are on our way to Lori's. I try to keep her mind of it while we are going. Maybe if she could actually see the stuff she might try harder. We think she has trained her brain so much now that her tummy reacts subconsciously now. We are trying to reprogram her.
My psychologist suggested spending more one on one quality time with her before bed. It may be a delayed separation anxiety thing. She never really did have that so maybe it is. She nursed until she was 2. All these things have kind of come up since she turned 2. The other thing she suggested was visualization. At night after her story I turn out the light and try to get her to relax. We take deep breaths and I walk her through relaxing all her body parts (not easy with a 3 year old let me tell you). Then we go on an adventure. In the adventure she see's herself in a few months. This Katy is very strong and healthy. She never has an owie tummy etc etc. What we are trying to do is get the subconscious mind to reprogram itself. If you tell it this over and over it eventually will sink in. I've got nothing to loose, but who knows if it will work. She also suggested massage. Feet are a good thing to massage as they have many acupressure points that work the core body. I have tried this too. Its only been about 4 days and on Tuesday when she went she didn't thow up =-) Maybe it will work. Tomorrow is a Lori day, so wish me luck.... So you have tried giving rewards? If food is the issue, maybe try going to the dollar store, and picking a few little toys she will enjoy , and telling her that if she has a day without getting sick and going to Lori's with no argument she will get to choose a toy when she gets home! Sometimes it will feel like you are giving rewards all the time. I have not had to deal with an issue like that either, many other ones but not that yet! Good luck! ----- Original Message ----- From: "Samantha Morris" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: "canada" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sent: Wednesday, September 08, 2004 10:44 AM Subject: [canada] RE: who's who > Hi Julia, > > I could write a book about all the issues we are having with her.
