Your Hosts Cyrus Peikari and Seth Fogie

Last week we introduced part one of an article on Reverse-Engineering the First Pocket PC Trojan. This week we continue with a very close look at this Trojan, including a full annotated disassembled examination of what this backdoor does and how it interacts with the client program to provide the attacker with full access to the infected PDA.

We also have a sample chapter from Securing Systems with the Solaris Toolkit titled Installing and Running Security Software for Sun Solaris. This chapter provides a guide to installing and configuring the Security Tool Kit, with a fast track list to help users get the kit installed and running quickly.

Finally, we have updated the Reference Guide with a look at Kerberos clients, their options and how to use them. As always, please give us your thoughts on the articles or Reference Guide in discussion section.

Weblog of the Week: Antivirus lessons from the Flu vaccine shortage

Most network administrators and antivirus researchers have traditionally been hostile to the concept of a "good" virus. But when they go to the doctor to snort FluMist this year, they might pause to reconsider. The solution to worms and viruses might have been under their noses all along.
