How do you soloright the 18? Do you have a righting pole or do the
lines work for you? I'm starting to lean towards the 18's, but the
whole reason I have gotten into catamaran sailing is so I can
comfortably go out on my own. I was initially thinking H14, but they
were too limitted on load. I have been sailing lately on a friends
H16 but I feel like I am pressing my luck. I don't know if I could
right it alone. I know all the techniques, but no practice. I guess I
need to find a friend with a jetski to follow me out and help if
necessary.
I had a good day out Sunday. It was the first time I was able to
consistantly fly the hull without chickening out. I also figured out
his darn weather helm problem. His rudders are raked out too far. It
was like arm wrestling a sumo wrestler.
