Mac and Linux Not Immune to Viruses
The biggest vulnerability on any computer is the one typing
on the keyboard. No matter what the operating system, if the
user can be tricked into performing tasks by an attacker,
the system will be compromised.
A recent proof-of-concept attack script for Mac OS X doesn't
itself raise any alarms, but it could be the basis, in
combination with social engineering attacks, of the sort of
worms Windows users have come to take for granted. The only
thing saving less-popular platforms is their less-popular
status.
