Finance minister P Chidambaram has ruled out a merger of the four state-owned general
insurance companies. The finance minister has given a clear thumbs down to any

An analysis of 1250 companies by FE shows that while total income grew 18% during the
quarter ended September 2004 compared with 10% in the corresponding quarter of the
