An Amazing Country, Moving Forward
—Albert Mohler
In the end, it was concluded with dignity and grace as a great democracy deserves. President George W. Bush won a resounding victory, and joins the very few presidents elected to a second term--this time with a large majority vote from the American people. Senator John Kerry spoke eloquently as he conceded the race, reminding Americans that we must stand together.
This election presented Americans with a clear choice about the nation's future. Americans re-elected a President who had vowed to protect marriage, defend unborn human life, and fight a war on terror that would take the battle to the terrorists. Beyond this, Americans overwhelmingly passed a series of state constitutional amendments that defined marriage as the union of a man and a woman.
As President Bush stated in his victory speech, "I am proud to lead such an amazing country, and I am proud to lead it forward." This is a great day for democracy, and a great day for America's future.
