Hello Ágnes:

OK.

There is no real reason why XP should stop when a
programmer leaves. Maybe he was the only one to care,
or to believe in XP?

That's a good question. Personally, I think that
'culture' does make a difference:

- to the way XP should be presented and explained
- to how easily XP will be adopted

However, that it true also of 'corporate' culture... In
other words, there could be a great difference between
two companies in New York, and I am sure you would find
companies very much like yours in many cities around
the world.

I certainly believe XP can benefit software development
organisations anywhere in the world. It may be more or
less difficult to convince them, and to make the
transition.

You are right. You could attend one of several
conferences (including in Europe). However, if you are
responsible for process management and quality, I think
you should just encourage programmers (and architects,
analysts, project leaders, whatever roles you have that
are involved in developing software) to find out about
XP. Buy them copies of books, send /them/ to the
conferences as well... And let them feel "allowed to try".
