This can be a serious problem and spreading the load, as suggested should
certainly help. The forward aka on a Corsair 36 crushed the hull and broke
the "mast" bulkhead due to the big forces in this area. There was no
collision......just some hard sailing. A number of "mast bulkheads" and
associated areas have started to come apart on 31's as well. Don't treat
this area of repair lightly........I think the Corsair 36 was lucky to make
it home.
