Today we have mostly been smelling the Basingstoke canal (except when Brenda
was cooking a curry for 5 hours)
After a peacefull night moored above town lock at Weybridge we set off for the
bottom of Woodham flight on the Basy.
We met up with nb Earnest and completed the licencing formalities with the
ranger. We then set off up the flight sharing with Earnest and leaving Prairie
Crocus to follow on solo.
Once out of Woodham and through Woking, we then attacked the Goldsworth flight
only to be informed by the supervising Ranger that we were too late to start
St. Johns flight. We moored for the night at the new moorings at Brookwood that
have been prepared ready for the IWA rally in May.
All crews congregated on Jannock for an 'in house' Curry-O-GiG.
Quote of the day from Neil A. " we can moor up here 3 abreast, this us the
Basy. Nothing will come along here! " just as a widebeam boat came down the cut.
