Date - 26 May
Day - Friday
Start - New Haw
End - Brookwood, Basingstoke canal

Last night we eat at the local Chinese Restaurant. The service and food
was very good.
It rained heavily overnight but was fine overnight but had cleared up by
this morning. We set off about 8-30 as we had to be at lock 1 before
9-30, we were there by 9 am and the Ranger was already sorting boats to
go up.the flight.
The run up the flight was quite slow and the boats ahead of us had
problems getting into the top lock together as like most locks it was
impossible to open the bottom gates fully. In the end we hauled one out
and they went up separately.
In St.Johns flight we managed to get a branch jammed on the top of the
propeller and I had to cut it up to get it out using my new Lidl Chinese
pull saw which worked really well.
When we cleared the locks we had about a mile to go before the rally
site, We have really good moorings next to Pat and Sheila on Fa-fair
right outside the main site.
Today the  weather has been much better than forecast and we are now off
for a BBQ.
