with such a splendid name. Neologism you might call it; mistake is my term
:)

However, in the spirit of the game 'gumpy' must be a word for for a naive
belief in simplistic solutions. As in, 'Those that followed his adventures
delighted in Tony's gumpy view of life, his belief that by continuing to
bring objects back from the tip he would finally succeed in clearing out his
house.'
