I can thoroughly recommend the job - it is quite enjoyable (most of the time) and does at least give a chance to get out and about around site (and gatecrash events). You also get the inside gen on what's happening (at least if someone bothers to tell the Newsletter)!
If anyone is wondering why I gave it up it's simply that I spend all week at work sitting in front of a computer, and decided I didn't want to spend my holidays doing much the same! I can verify that Mike is quite generous with the beer by the way (although he does prefer mild unfortunately). To get mildly technical, the last few years we've tended to put a simple wired network in the office - it's not essential but makes life a lot easier. I will be setting this up, so don't worry if you don't have a clue about such things. I'll also be around, especially Tuesday, to help with any other technical matters. A spare lap top will be available for typing on if needed - not entirely sure which one as it depends which one I may need! You also don't need to worry too much about the quality of digital camera - until last year I used a 3 mega-pixie without any problems! If anyone is thinking of taking up the job and wants to discuss it, or takes it up and wants advice, please feel free to contact me. Glen ------------------------ Yahoo!
