Please do not let her contemplate anything other than a propper rising 
and falling mooring on the river.

All rivers can rise several feet in a short space of time so adhoc 
moorings can end up with boats high and dry, swept away or held under 
by mooring lines.   Even with rising and falling moorings I woudl want 
to put long, heavey flood lines out during the winter in cas eth 
mooring got carried away in a flood.

IF lookig at marinas double check that they really are flood safe - one 
not too many miles upstream claims it is, but can get inundated.
