Hi Nancy, Pleased you enjoyed your trip on the M&B to put the record straight Ashford tunnel is a noted haven for bats,I think they eat spiders. It is probably just as well you did not know this at the time. You would not be the first person to choose to walk over the top for that reason!. Chris.KP
