Thanks for tha, Martin nad thanks too to the other advisors. It seems therre are at least as many opinions as people! I wish we had longer but we have to head south. I'd also hoped to take advantage of buying the new boat in Cheshire to revisit the Macc and Upper Peak Forest (still the most beautiful route on the cut IMHO) after an absence of over 30 years. However tempus fugit don'tcha know :-)} I have a plan to come back up next spring to re-explore that. Last time I was up there Marple Locks were still closed.
