Day 14 - Friday 7th July 2006

Even though we didn't get passing boats, surges came down the arm, and moved
the boat about, and so woke me at 9:00. However with the rain, we didn't set
off until 10:45. It only rained lightly there after, and steadily got
brighter. This next stretch is lock free, and thankfully any boats we caught
up, pulled in and moored up.

We found a bit of a queue at the two New Marton locks, where we managed to
have our tea of stew while waiting for the lock. As we went on more boats
pulled in, and only when we reached near the A6 did we catch up to someone
who didn't want to stop. We decided to moor up, and while Dad and Julie went
for a walk I tried to set up the satellite - however there was a tree in the
way, so we had to move the boat along the bank a few yards to get a signal.
