Day 15 - Saturday 8th July 2006 We wanted to get to Llangollen today, to go on the steam train, so we were off early (for us) at 9:00. It took ages to get to Pontcysyllte, and then Dad wanted to stop and take some pictures. Julie, and Dad went down to the bridge across the Dee to take some pictures but took ages to get back. This was about 13:00, and it was 15:00 by the time we paid our £5 and moored in the basin, and heard the train whistle of the last steam train out of Llangollen. We'll try tomorrow, but meanwhile Dad and Julie went to look around the town.
The Llangollen International Music Eisteddfod was on at the time, and strains of world music could be heard coming across the water.
