Finally in dry dock and blacking process has commenced. Sadly being 
able to see the stern gear at last meant unexpected expense. A broken 
engine mounting earlier in the year has resulted in wear to the prop 
shaft and it needs replacing along with the gland. Not sure what the 
damage is financially but it's likely to be around £800. All the 
anodes need replacing too. That's another £300 ... boat's eh? Money 
pits :-)

At least the hull survey was good and TIAMI looks good for another 20 
years with regular maintenance.

Very strange living on the boat in the dock. It's sooo dark. Poor 
Merlin is very confused with the lights on all day and not being 
allowed out to play. With a show coming up in a couple of weeks it's 
too risky to let him out to play amongst bitumen paint!
