There has been a certain amount of annoyance locally with BWML over King's
Marina. I have heard that Newark Council contributed an amount for visitor
moorings in King's that have now gone. It was also supposed to be somewhere
that you could leave your boat for a few days while waiting to go on down the
Trent.

There is a VM outside the Kiln Warehouse and that does have electricity. I'm
not sure if it's free or not as we are 12v on Kyme.

Wait until BWML have taken over Glasson Basin Yacht Harbour. I expect this
will also include the lovely basin side moorings as you come in on the
right - one of my favourite places to moor on the BW system (as opposed to
the official grot VM's on the far side, where you have to take your dogs
through a "no dogs" kiddie park). The creeping rot has crept in at other
places BWML have taken over, like the removed secure free 48hr VM's in Kings
Marina in Newark.
