My name is Trevor Lewis and with my wife Glenys, we have been touring Australia for 2 years in a 20 foot caravan with a Nissan Patrol 4 WD vehicle.
We are from New Zealand and are thinking of returning about October 2007 but as we have a son and a daughter living in the UK we thought we would take the opportunity to look at exchanging our caravan and 4WD for a narrow boat for about 8 to 12 weeks between May and October 2007. We have previously had experience with narrow boats. Our caravan would be available with everything that is required to travel. All anybody would need to bring is clothing and personal items. Even though it would be winter in Australia I would point out that as long as you are in the northern part of Australia the temperature range between 18° C to 30° C. Over the two years that we have been touring we have always worn summer clothing (shorts and shirts).
