A BW operative with a life jacket & riding a bike, seriously informed us, that the closure of Stourport was caused by the breach at Hurleston. This caused the Shroppie to be short of water, which meant there wasn't enough water to supply the Stourport basins. Pumps are now pumping water from the Severn. A boater told us that there had been a large fire on the Brecon Beacons and pumping water out of the Mon & Brec had caused the problem. I think there are problems with both senarios.
