Day 35 - Friday August 4th - Atherstone to Rugby
24 miles 3 furlongs, 1 lock, 8 hours
Set off from the top of the Atherstone flight at 7.25am, Hawkesbury
Junction at 11.05am, and through the stop lock in five minutes. Newbold
tunnel at 2.45pm, and tied up by the footpath to Rugby station at
3.25pm. Early finish, but I needed to get to the station as I had
arranged to meet up in the evening with a friend from Stourbridge who I
hadn't seen for a while. Ended up having a Balti, several pints of
Batham's and staying over for the night.
