At 7:00 am today I saw it. Most of the way from Stockton top to Wigrams
we passed moored boats "on line" ad nauseam. But that was the good
news.
Hush . . . for the mighty St Nich's makes no reference to the prophet
Wigram.
On the approach to Calcutt from the west the there was much blackness
of smoke and thrunging of heavy plant scooping, hauling and pile
driving the new wall-to-wall so called "marinas".
Don't believe all that apparently optimistic BW propaganda. "They" are
coming. The aliens are infiltrating.
First stage was the tired floating relics, apparently unlicenced and
unwelcomed, but in fact they were the pathfinders identifying safe
havens for "their" kind. We thought they were harmless but their
masters, once clothed in green, but now on the next stage of blue alert
are engineering the demise of boating, and indeed the world, as we know
it. The blue colour is the motivation to build, to procreate, to
expand. To suffocate.
Where better to site the new alien boat operations (NABO) than in these
safe havens. A small proportion of "owners" will venture onto the
waterways but the vast majority can sit undisturbed while the embryonic
crews mutate.
Only a quarterwit could imagine these incubation sites as harmless
developments of the waterway heritage. Beware when the master's livery
changes colour just one more (One Moore . . . geddit) time, for that
will be the signal. Oh yes, ignore "the" signal and you shall be damned
to an eternity down the weedhatch.
For it is written. And mine's another pint please.

PS It'll all end in tears. Pls deliver me back to the G&S, chuffus
