Day 52 - Monday August 21st - Radcot to Oxford
23 miles 6 furlongs, 9 locks, 6 hours 35 minutes
Set off from Radcot at 11.30am, having assisted a little in
dismantling the rally site and also, foolishly, volunteered to
assist with stage crew at the National. Managed to dodge the
threatening rain clouds, tying up below Osney lock at 6.05pm.

Day 53 - Tuesday August 22nd - Oxford to Wallingford
22 miles 2 furlongs, 7 locks, 6 hours 55 minutes
Into Oxford to get a replacement datacard, straight into the
Vodafone shop as they unbolted the doors. Was told I could either
have an identical replacement card for free, or upgrade to the
latest higher speed model for a fiver. Thought about that for at
least half a microsecond before deciding to upgrade. Set off from
moorings at 10.30am, stopped for a bit of Thetfordry at Day's Lock
and arrived in Wallingford at 5.45pm. Moorings above the bridge
were all occupied, moorings below the bridge are shallow. After a
couple of goes at getting in a chap on a NB invited me to moor
   alongside, which I did.

Day 54 - Wednesday August 23rd - Wallingford to Child Beale Park
8 miles 6 furlongs, 2 locks, 2 hours 10 minutes.
Early departure, 5.10am, in the pre-dawn gloom. Best time of the
day to be boating in my book. Stopped for an hour to fill with
water at the Cleeve lock water point. Part way through filling
the lock, it switched over to powered operation, making life somewhat
easier. Arrived at Child Beale Park at 8.20am, tying up in S3K1
rather than my allotted S3K6, as my ropes weren't long enough!
