We claimed under the 'stranding' part of our St Margaret's claim 20 odd
years ago after we'd been pulled off Normanton Island on the Trent. We
didn't know we were covered, and they pointed it out to us after they sent
along an assessor to oversee the rescue. They paid up like a dream. In fact
we didn't even know it had happened until we got confirmation from BW that
all outstanding bills were paid. It must have been a substantial sum: two
tugs and full crew from Newarke for a 4am tide. Must have been a bit of
overtime there...
