I must apologise to those persons on the list with whom I have communicated,
trying to make a face to face visit, and failing to do so. As I get further
from the GU, it is unlikely that we'll be able to do so this time around,
BTW, here is another tale of Winkwell...
As we were coming down the GU, Anne and I noticed a rather offensive odour
emanating from the loo. Acting upon information gained from the list, we
stopped at the next boatyard, which happened to be the one just across the
road from The Pub That Shall Remain Unnamed [we farted in their general
direction en passant, but I digress.
The bloke at the boatyard obligingly had a whiff, and suggested that we
needed a pumpout. "Go ahead", sez I, and he did. After completing the job,
I asked how much and he said that his probe had been broken, and he couldn't
do the job properly, so No Charge! It appears that the Gods do smile on
Winkwell from time to time...Sorry, Barry!
