Hi Brian and All,

That was in 1998 and the river came up 17 feet! In those days we owned 2
moorings and One Moore, our boat then, was on the mooring we have now sold.
The rising poles on our mooring now has higher and stronger poles than the
old one and God willing we will never experience river levels like that
again. The sluice gates that run the length of the river and were left shut
causing much of the problem, are now automatic and a much improved water
watch program has been put in place. If you want to read all about the
