The colour coding only comes into play once the trial has been successful.
If that proves to be the case, then and only then will ALL lock gates be
painted with a stripe depending on the open/close position for that
particular lock and depending upon condition and location. The only problem
I see with colour coding, as someone has already said, is colour blindness.
Perhaps another method needs to be found.
