That indeed is an issue of some concern. As you may have read, Will
Wilkinson and I had a long chat with the Jericho people about this and
we agreed to discuss possible strategies some more. I don't think there
is much chance of them not using the opportunity so it is more a case
of trying to get them to tone things down a bit. Phrases like
Brutish Waterways in particular don't help.

One of the arguments that I put to the Jericho crowd was that if we
were seen to be all campaigning under the SOW banner, then maybe that
would give them an opportunity to get their message across to other
demonstrators who would support their cause in the future. The
alternative is that a simple highjack might actually turn SOW
demonstrators against their cause.
Of course, we would hope that there will anyway be so many more SOW
banners that special interest groups are lost in the crowd.
