Last April, we turned on a "news" interface to the canals-list, and it has apparently been working well (based on my not hearing any complaints!).
Anyway, at the time I was on the downhill run to my boating holiday, and completely forgot to add any mention of the news interface on my website, where most people discover the canals-list. It's therefore possible that people who have subscribed between April and now are not aware of this feature, so I'm posting this message let them know. A brief description of the news interface is now included on my canals-list page at: www.canals.com/maillist.htm Back in April, Julian Tether (who had originally suggested this news system), posted some advantages of taking list messages via news.
