Well since you need to be down the GU before the 9th, when a load of
work is starting, the other stoppages (on the Soar/Cov etc) are not
important.

Going down the Soar won't help, as you'll still have the problems down
the GU. You've just got to find somewhere to leave your boat in London
for a couple of weeks.

Even better spend the New Year weekend getting your boat down here,
and join us on the Royal Docks cruise! (3rd or 4th Jan). Cheap mooring
for a week, and the chance to spend more money!

New year's eve on the boat, sounds good to me!
