When I saw one set of plans there were houses "nicely" set back from 
the water's edge but the in phase 2 the space in between was to be 
filled with flats. So it is a bit half baked which maybe why Wimpey 
pulled out.

Well the YC roof is all done though I haven't had a close look and they 
haven't responded to my application for membership. It looks pretty 
decent to me. And the tiles recovered from the YC are being used to 
re-roof the chandlery.

The money being spent on the basin sides and coping astounds me. Huge 
lumps of reconstituted (presumably) sandstone. I don't know how they do 
it for the money ! The hump back bridge which is the access to the 
Tontine and the Angel is another expensive item. Less humped than would 
have been authentic to provide access to wheelchairs, reportedly.
