Also cast your eye around the smaller shops. Look for ones that have been there for a while. You might pick up a good deal. For example - here in Lancaster we have Black Box (http://www.blackboxnet.com/), not only do they sell everything to build you own PC (if you desire), but they make up and sell systems using the standard items they sell separately - so no custom designed parts which might not be repairable/replaceable later (their repair fee of £40 fixed + parts is cheaper than PCW as well). They are also very friendly and knowledgeable. I've got most of my current PC there.
