My email adds has been spoofed so that I am getting lots of rejected mail from
people I have never heard of, and certainly never emailed. It is a pain and I
just hope it dies out in the end as I block the senders - and the webmasters
who bounce them back to me. So yes, your email adds can be manufactured to
fool the recipient into opening it.

very very easily - it's done all the time.

  spoofing. "

It is wise not to execute any program sent in email's unless you are
absolutely sure you know it was being sent by someone you trusted.

Even if someone I knew having met them in the flesh - and trusted - I
would scan such files with Internet security software first.
