Wise words - but I have to say that some of my most memorable boating
has been in the winter.

Mine you - I wouldn't fancy in the gales you had down south this week.
And of course we haven't had any long hard frosts in recent years -
with boats not able to move for weeks at a time.

I haven't heard of any damage along canals, trees across the cut etc ?
