AFAIAA all reported accidents have been due to either ignorance of the risks or human stupidity. I reckon a scheme similar to the driving theory test might be more successful. Anyone who fails should then have to attend a training course. But how could that be implemented to cover hirers or friends borrowing boats............................... Phil
