From: "Brian Holt" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>> but is there any mileage in supporting a petition that the government > raises? Hi Brian and All, AFAIK the petition is not government sponsored. It was put up by a concerned individual on the site that has been set up by No10, to raise issues of interest to the general public, anyone can put up whatever they like. This shows government touchy feely with the electorate. This particular one has caught media attention because it has attracted a massive, some 2 million people, NO vote. It is interesting that, with a few exceptions, the feeling on this list confirms the general view. Regards, Andrew Web Site www.andrewdyke.co.uk Web Site www.mayorofevesham.co.uk
