AFAIAA Steve, it's permanent. I did toy with the idea of stripping back 
the varnish and trying to bleach the satin out on Albion but, in the 
end, decided that as the stain was in the bathroom I can extend the 
tiling to cover the area and it will look as though it was original(ish)
