There are clearly a lot of the e-mail list that know each other quite well. Though I would not describe myself of part of the in-crowd I enjoy the banter and when I've met people off the e-mail group they've always been very friendly (we had a very pleasant evening with Guy and Connie a couple of years ago at the Folly in which gave me an insight into how friendly everyone is). The strength of the e-mail group is that they're always willing to give advice to new people and just want them to enjoy the waterways.
