The booking system become operational Monday. As Bruce has righly worked out
it will take almost a month to get all the boats back off the Gt Ouse
through Denver and Salters Lode.

We have been informed that the dredging has been a success and boats of 70'
have been through and no problems.

Middle Level Commission are hoping the with this work the lock can be left
open longer ie drive through open gates that will get you through Salters
Lode but then you will be held up at Denver if you are coming towards St
Ives.

Some comment was made about the sand bar at the mouth of the Gt Ouse, it was
believed that this bar will not effect Narrow boats unless you have a draft
of over 5'!!!

BUT IT IS IMPORTANT THAT PEOPLE DO BOOK THEIR PASSAGE BOTH WAYS, if you get
the answer machine do leave your details and they will call you back.

EA have pulled out all the stops, they will be making new moorings for on
route, and they are obviously talking to IWA Festivals Team, same as the
Middle Levels Commission.

I hope this helps
