Although you have had a number of other responses the comments below may assist. There are 4 sets of moorings at Bath and another at Bathampton. Bathampton Bridge 183 - 48 hour by the George, I think on Bus Route. We mored here one night, no problems. Bridge 185 to 186 - think these were 72 hour, access to town via Bridge 186 and walk (fairly steep) downhill round outside of Sydney Gardens and into Pultney Street, over Pultney Bridge and the town is all around you. About 15 mins walk. We moored here for 72hours, reasonably quiet despite being right beside (but above) the main line railway. Between Bridge 188 and Bath Top Lock (Widcombe flight). Round opposite side of Pultney Gardens and again Pultney Street, again 10 to 15 mins walk. Think this one only 24 hours. Water point here, very slooooooow fill. Cannot wind before lock, if not going onto river last winding point between bridges 187 & 188. We moored here one night, not many moorings and very popular. You can moor on the river in two places with very easy access to town. The first is a council mooring and you have to pay, it can also get very noisy and there is a lot of passing foot traffic, not sure if I would want to moor there overnight. But only 2 mins walk to town. To get to this mooring turn right immediately after exiting Bath Bottom Lock and its about 1/4 mile. The other is just after Churchill Road Bridges, out of bottom lock and straight on (it does look bit like a fork so Left) on Right going towards Bristol. Long set of railings with stone steps. Up and to the right 5 mins walk is the bottom of the town. Up and left, or along the towpath is a large Tesco in the old Bath Green Park Railway station. We moored here for 2 nights. If you are going onto Bristol I can also give you where we moored.
