City of Adelaide, later HMS Carrick. CITY OF ADELAIDE, a composite clipper like CUTTY SARK, was built for trade between Britain and Australia. Former names; Carrick, City of Adelaide. Built 1864 by William Pile Jr., Sunderland, in 1864. She was later used as a stationary hospital and accommodation hulk, and then spent many years as a floating Naval Reserve clubhouse in Glasgow. She is currently at the Scottish Maritime Museum in Irvine.
