I've left a boat for a couple of weeks moored on the towpath just past the Avoncliff aqueduct by the Cross Guns. It's right next to Avoncliff station which is a request stop (just holdout your hand to stop the train!) and on the main line. Very pleasant spot to commute from, and if you leave it unattended, there are always boats around. Anne C NB Serenity
