I've just spoken to the EA at Peterborough and put our Salters/Denver
crossing back by three weeks, to 1 August.
Helpful guy there said they don't expect the Nene to reopen before the
middle of next week at the earliest, in view of the forecast for this
weekend.
Meanwhile, they've had a meeting with Railtrack about the Ely Rail
Bridge, which was positive. For the time being the estimate for
reopening remains second or third week of August, but there is some
hope of improving on that in due course.
