Heavy ironic laughter!! Actually, no, it's very reassuring. Only 
problem for those on the Nene or not yet on the way is getting to 
Salters.

After five days there, we finally left Earls Barton at 11.30 this 
morning, on advice from the EA guy, and waited in Doddington Lock for 
them to unreverse it. We then boated on to Rushden and Diamonds 
(Irthlingborough) where we were expected. The EA guys had gone on ahead 
and warned the moorers here to expect us, which was good of them. The 
river was full, and the current a tad hairy in places, but perfectly 
boatable.

Only problem is, it'll be another two days minimum for the river to go 
down below here, and there's more rain forecast...
