Malcolm mentioned >Hope it stays dry for you Dave, Hemingford Meadows is only a foot or >so above the normal river level - and obviously the flood plain >
Sorry the meadow is just about level with the river, and a stream can be seen running through the centre! Don't tell Bruce. He might think of a reason not to come to the National and work ;-)) The Festivals committee have been assured by a number of peple that the meadows being on gravel drain very quickley, and with almost a month to go, it is still all systems go. Regarding the train derailment, just seen a little snippett of info the dainty little cranes are in place, and have been set up and are starting to remove the fallen carriages etc. Cranes are so big that they have to be careful of the strength of the wind, they are flippin huge. Big boys toys. Moose goes off muttering.... I wonder if my Wrg driver authorisation will let me have a go in one???
