They have an engineering centre there as well as some of their own hire boats, and they also act as an Ownerships base, supplying fuel, pump-outs and moorings. Although Ownerships have their own people to do much of their boats' maintenance, I presume Kate Boats provide 'heavy' engineering back-up.
