We originally moored in forwards, but there was a tree in the way of the satellite and the terrestrial signal was very poor. I reversed, and turned the boat without problems - not even pulling up any muddiness. It may be more problematic near the edge, or for historic boats, but no problems with a "standard" shallow craft.
